This is a full-time role permanent role. (35 hours per week)

EDT deliver life changing education programmes around the globe and technology underpins everything we do. To ensure we capitalise on the opportunities provided by advances in digital technology we are expanding our digital systems teams with several key new roles.

As the job title suggests you will have technical ownership of assigned systems, working with stakeholders, suppliers and internal technical resources to ensure the systems are supported and are subject to continuous improvement. This will be a wide-ranging role and will require building close relationships with Business owners to address issues and jointly formulate system improvements. The architecture of our systems can be complex with APIs to other EDT and customer systems, and the ability to effectively manage multiple suppliers is key to this role. The successful candidate will have strong application implementation and support experience and will enjoy working in matrix-managed teams.

Person Specification:

Knowledge Essential:
  • Detailed understanding of information system design
  • High level of awareness of the tools and technology available In the IT market, with emphasis on Microsoft products and platforms
  • Knowledge of management and ownership of business technology systems.
  • Awareness of digital design principles; re-use, UX, accessibility
  • Understanding of software development tools, testing methodologies, application and database performance, web services technologies \xc2\xbb Technical knowledge of MS Dyamics and its components
Desirable
  • Knowledge of IT within an education context in relation to infrastructure and administration requirements.
Experience Essential:
  • Experience of installing and maintaining complex IT Systems in adherence to security and other mandatory requirements
  • Experience of technology project management
  • Experience of managing multiple systems simultaneously
  • Experience of managing a busy workload and working to deadlines
Desirable:
  • Experience of planning, organising and delivering well-paced and structured training
