We are seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager to oversee solar PV, air source heat pump projects and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery projects within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess some relevant background experience for example; electrical, heating, ventilation, mechanical services design etc and demonstrate project management capabilities. You will be responsible for designing domestic heating and ventilation systems. Familiarity with the construction industry, quality standards and services design is important. You will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing resources, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope. The role requires good computer skills using Excel, office and managing emails.
Responsibilities
Advise clients and lead design work with specialist renewable technologies.
Attend site to take measurements and work out solutions to present to the customer.
Read and interpret schematics to guide installation processes accurately.
Lead and manage multiple technical projects from initiation through to completion.
Learn and research into product literature of the items used.
Explain options with clients on the suitability of the technology for their house.
Put together pricing during a site assessment visit.
Speak with installation team to gain trust and build working relationships.
Travel to sites in London to meet clients, architects and builders.
Work independantly staying productive and reliable.
Being open to learn from mistakes and continually strive for improvement.
Coordinate with installation teams and engineers to ensure work is managed effectively.
Order materials from suppliers and manage invoicing with clients.
Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction with the installation process and address any concerns promptly.
Requirements
Experience as a Project Manager in a technical environment or relevant technical experience within the construction industry building services sector.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with SharePoint.
Interest in renewable and low carbon technologies helping people to reduce energy consumption and ensuring these system perform well as installed.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to work under pressure.
Valid driver's licence is preferred for travel between sites.
Ability to use sketchup to do 3D design and fluency reading drawings.
