Technical Project Manager

At Saint Gobain Intrastack we are looking for a Technical Project Manager to work in our Technical Development & Sales Support Team in a remote based role. The Technical Project Manager is critical to the seamless and successful delivery of Intrastack construction projects, providing that constant project-management-resource from cradle-to-grave on our projects.

The Technical Project Manager will be a key part of the Technical Development & Sales Support team which consist of 2 Technical Project Managers and 2 Estimators who all work closely and all report into the Head of Technical Development and Sales Support. Saint Gobain Intrastack is one of 30+ Saint-Gobain brand\'s, Intrastack is a part of Saint-Gobain\'s Off-Site Solutions division (OSS), working alongside other MMC brands to offer expertise in design, logistics, supply chain and sourcing, delivered through a partnership approach. OSS is made up of brands covering MMC categories 2, 3, 5 & 6, from full building structures, through to components & sub-assemblies, enabling accelerated build-programmes on-site, whilst ensuring the highest levels of quality, performance, and project-certainty.

What we\'re looking for:

  • Experience of a fast-moving Technical and Sales Support department and the understanding of the principles of cold rolled steel frame construction and building industry requirements
  • Effective influencing and communication skills, with the ability to understand and explain technical concepts to different levels
  • Strong time management, self-motivation, and the ability / experience to work remotely
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple simultaneous priorities
  • Knowledge of current Building Regulations and Knowledge of fire regulation requirements and Wider technical understanding of the construction industry, and with OSM/LGSF bias.
  • Strong business commercial acumen and problem-solving skills are essential.
What you will be doing:
  • Coordinating with the estimating, technical project management, on-site contracts management resources, and internal-administrative functions
  • Working alongside the Sales & Business Development team, supporting the development of the opportunity pipeline, whilst ensuring excellent customer-experience.
  • The Technical Project Manager will be attending design team meetings, visiting site to inspect site work, negotiation with subs and main contractors, coordinating projects with designers and architects and offer technical advice and ensure correct system installation.
  • The Technical Project Manager will be required to coordinate and facilitate Intrastack projects thought their life span (from estimation through to on-site inspection).
  • Coordination of all associated resources (internal & external) to deliver successful projects
  • The Technical Project Manager will be building those long-term key relationships with new and core customers
