Your job:
The Customer Trust team provides sales and customer support to build customer confidence in Global Relay services across a range of areas-including product functionality and technical architecture, security controls, privacy, and compliance practices. The team focuses on proposal management, customer due diligence and security assessments, corporate information requests, and daily customer inquiries on trust-related topics.
The Technical Proposal Writer plays a key role in building customer confidence in Global Relay and winning new business by owning the end-to-end development of RFP/RFI responses and proposals. They are responsible for crafting compelling, persuasive executive summaries and full proposal content while also possessing the technical acumen to accurately address complex questions across product functionality, technical architecture, security and privacy controls, and compliance processes.
The Technical Proposal Writer collaborates closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), product and engineering teams, legal/compliance, and sales to ensure each proposal is customized, technically sound, and aligned to the customer's needs and expectations. They may also assist the team with routine vendor and technical assessments, and other customer requests for information.
Your responsibilities:

• Take end-to-end ownership of RFP/RFI proposals, including drafting, editing, and finalizing responses.
• Write persuasive and tailored executive summaries that align with customer needs and clearly communicate our value proposition and differentiation.
• Gather product, technical, and corporate information from subject matter experts - and edit the information, especially complex technical concepts, for clarity (plain English) and conciseness.
• Partner with sales to customize content and ensure proposals reflect customer priorities, language, and business context.
• Edit and proofread content for style, grammar, and spelling.
• Develop, manage, and fact-check content for a knowledge base.
• Track multiple deadlines and deliverables, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant submissions.
• Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of Global Relay technology, services, operations, and business strategy.

About you:

• 3+ years of experience in technical proposal writing, technical writing, or pre-sales content development - preferably in SaaS, cloud tech, or enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's degree with a major in English, Communications, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Close attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
• Ability to independently research and quickly understand unfamiliar technical concepts.
• Independent worker with the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal or no supervision.
• Ability to work with all levels of staff, including executives and senior subject matter experts.
• High level of comfort in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
• Strong judgement and ability to analyze and handle complex situations.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, as required, to meet deadlines.
• Ability to develop and maintain a broad knowledge of Global Relay technology, services, operations, and business strategy.
• Flexibility to take on new assignments and responsibilities as needed.
• Experience with RFP and proposal management tools (e.g., Loopio) is a plus.
• Previous experience with Salesforce is an asset.
