The Building Construction Products Division at Caterpillar is seeking a
Technical Regulatory Engineering Specialist
to join the Regulations and Product Compliance team. This role will support the Skid Steer Loader (SSL) product line by managing compliance risk and ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory requirements for intended markets.
What You Will Do:
Stay Informed:
Keep up to date with product regulatory and related technology requirements and apply this knowledge to Caterpillar products.
Process Utilization:
Follow and use established processes and tools to collect, assess, and manage information for product certification and compliance.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to enhance processes and tools used for managing product regulatory compliance risks.
Collaboration:
Work with product groups, design control, and operations teams to ensure the development, validation, and production of products that meet regulatory requirements.
What Skills You Will Have:
Accuracy and Attention to Detail:
Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy and demonstrates the ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Collaborating:
Knowledge of collaborative techniques and demonstrated ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking:
Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques and demonstrated ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Product Design and Development:
Knowledge of product features and the demonstrated ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
Top candidates may also have:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
Experience in machine test and validation engineering
