We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Sales Administrator to support our sales team in delivering their service. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and have a passion for delivering good customer service. This role involves managing the technically biased administrative tasks such as processing orders & quotes, maintaining accurate records, assisting the customer and ensuring smooth communication between the sales department and other teams within the organisation.
Responsibilities
Processing orders to required quality standards in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Handling enquiries, establishing customer's requirements and providing accurate quotations within company timescales
Planning customer orders, ensuring requirements, timescale and specifications are understood and communicated effectively with both production and the customer
Generating required manufacturing paperwork such as works orders, route cards and despatch sheets
Tracking customer orders through to completion ensuring these are processed on time, collating completed work orders and invoicing customers
Arranging and managing of customer deliveries and providing cover where necessary to other relevant departments.
Answering general calls and redirecting as appropriate.
Qualifications
1-2 years' experience of working in a similar/transferable administrative role (Engineering or transferrable industry preferred)
Excellent communication skills with experience of phone-based customer interaction
Experience of using data based ERP software
Proven experience of delivering a high level of customer service
Proficient at Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel
Ability to absorb and understand necessary technical product information
Proven ability multi task and work accurately at pace, with the ability to prioritise workload
Excellent attention to detail
