Job Specification

Role

Receive incoming enquiries by post, phone, fax, email or website. Process enquiries in clear, concise and speedy manner and provide quotation where appropriate. To follow up subsequent to quotation, if order not received then why not?
- To maintain statistics on quotation won and lost, with analysis of reasons for loss.

- For orders received, to liaise with manufacturing and purchasing to ensure the build
instructions comply with the customer requirements.

- To monitor customer activity, especially scheduled orders and to maintain contact with
customers, to ensure that the customers are satisfied with our service and are happy to
provide enquiries in the future.

- To continually monitor and evaluate potential new markets or opportunities for new
products in our range.

Personal

Confident, pleasant manner when dealing with prospective customers. Ability to identify and focus on key tasks. Organised and disciplined approach to tasks. Able to work well in small team and be co-operative in general. Can be relied upon to complete delegated tasks. Creative and pragmatic approach to problem solving.

Technical

Technical or engineering background. Either pump industry experience or a demonstrative ability to quickly assimilate technical information, processes and requirements. High level or IT literacy. Numerate.

General

- Prepared to "muck in" and help other departments as needs arise.

- Maintain information on competitors' product and activities.

- Oversee production and revision of company literature in printed and

digital format.

- Maintain all relevant customer and product price lists and ensure prices

are updated appropriately.

- Provide occasional cover and support for other admin areas, particularly

purchasing and general office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 36,000.00-40,000.00 per year
