We are a fun and friendly Torpoint based company, selling a range of lighting, rigging and electrical equipment to various industries including the events world.

We have a range of customers in the entertainment industry such as theatres, marquee hire companies, wedding venues and other performance venues.

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented

Technical Sales Operative

to join our growing technical department. This role involves handling enquiries for our standard range of portable power products, providing technical support, and working closely with the Technical Supervisor to process orders efficiently. You'll play a key role in promoting standard solutions before progressing to custom quotes and will help ensure a smooth, professional experience for our customers from first contact through to order completion. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining sales with technical understanding in a supportive, forward-thinking team.

7. A positive, solution-oriented mindset, especially when handling customer complaints or complex enquiries.

8. Willingness to undertake ongoing training on technical products and compliance.

Key Skills & Experience



Previous experience in a sales, customer service, or technical sales environment (preferably within a power products, engineering, or technical industry). Basic technical understanding of electrical or mechanical products, or willingness to undergo training. Experience with order processing systems and CRM/database management. Ability to interpret customer requirements and align them with standard product offerings before escalating to custom solutions. Experience or willingness to support business development through occasional site visits to key or new customers. Competence in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word. Understanding of or commitment to ISO9001 & ISO14001 processes and standards (desirable but not essential). Full UK driving licence (desirable, especially for on-site visits).

Qualifications: Level 2/3 in Electrical, Engineering, or Business-related disciplines (or equivalent experience).

Pay: 26,728.00-28,870.00 per year
