General Role Description
We are seeking a Technical SEO Executive with strong hands-on experience in both on-site and technical SEO. You'll help implement and maintain the technical foundations that support our content, organic performance and growth on both organic search and emerging LLM platforms - from structured data and code optimisation to site audits, crawl efficiency, and Core Web Vitals improvements.
This is a role for someone who enjoys working in the detail - analysing data, troubleshooting performance issues, and implementing technically sound SEO solutions that make a measurable impact.
Work location is flexible - 2 days / week in the office and 3 days / week WFH
Key Responsibilities
Support the SEO Manager in managing the technical health of all Timberwise websites.
Conduct comprehensive SEO audits (crawl, indexation, site speed, Core Web Vitals, internal linking).
Implement technical fixes in WordPress (Elementor) and collaborate on larger development requirements.
Implement the creation of pages on the website within the house brand, adding Schema markup to enhance entity recognition and LLM / search engine discoverability.
Monitor and report on site performance using Google Search Console, SEMrush, and GA4.
Identify and resolve crawl errors, redirect chains, duplicate content, and canonical issues.
Manage sitemaps, robots.txt and meta configurations.
Support the Marketing team with keyword analysis, ranking reports, and technical insights to shape content strategy.
Stay up to date with algorithm changes, search developments, and AI/LLM-driven SEO opportunities.
Collaborate closely with the team to ensure technical SEO best practices are applied to all published content.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
2+ years' experience in SEO with a strong technical focus.
Advanced working knowledge of WordPress (Elementor or similar page builder experience required).
Proficiency in SEMrush, Google Search Console, and GA4.
Experience implementing and testing structured data / Schema markup.
Understanding of HTML, CSS, PHP, and the ability to add or adjust code safely within the CMS.
Knowledge of Core Web Vitals, page speed optimisation, and mobile-first indexing.
Strong understanding of crawl budgets, indexation management, and site architecture.
Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Desirable:
Experience optimising sites for LLM and entity-based search.
Familiarity with JavaScript SEO principles and rendering challenges.
Experience with tag management systems (e.g., GTM).
Understanding of local SEO and multi-location site structures.
Experience working with service-based or technical industries.
