We are seeking an experienced person to provide technical support for our range of Woodworking Machinery.
This role requires a strong technical background and some experience of servicing / repairing machinery or relevant items such as appliances or motor vehicles.
The role is offered on a part-time permanent basis. Some flexibility in working hours to suit the candidate is available by mutual agreement.
Duties
Support:
Help customers who contact us by phone or email with technical issues. Once the problem is understood, some simply need advice on how to correctly set up a machine, others may need to replace faulty or worn parts.
Parts:
In most cases when spare parts are required, we will ship them to the customer who will fit the parts themselves. The role includes organising and re-ordering our stock of parts.
Repairs:
In cases where we cannot solve the issue remotely, we will arrange to collect the machine and bring it back to our workshop for repair. The role will include using basic tools to carry out repairs.
Quality Control
: Carry out checks to a random sample, whenever a batch of machinery is delivered into our warehouse to ensure it meets our standards.
Skills
Proficiency in mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical information.
Basic keyboard skills and familiarity with some software programs.
Previous experience in a workshop or manufacturing setting is preferred but not essential. We welcome applications from individuals who are eager to contribute their skills in an engaging environment where innovation is encouraged.

Pay: 15.00-20.00 per hour
