Job Description

This role plays an important part in the Technical Services Team, bringing together customer service and technical support to ensure Food Forensics runs efficiently. From triaging enquiries and coordinating sample logistics to managing data flow between labs and clients, the position ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance at every stage. Key responsibilities include shopping for testing samples (both in person and online), tracking and processing samples, uploading data into laboratory information systems, handling client queries, and organising couriers. It's a fast-paced, detail-driven role for someone who thrives on organisation, communication, and problem-solving.

You will have strong administration background with excellent customer service at the forefront of everything you do. We are looking for a proactive individual with a can-do attitude who is tenacious and enjoys working in a varied role. You will have a keen eye for detail and accuracy have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and not be afraid to contribute your own suggestions and ideas for business improvement. Ideally you will have gained some experience within a laboratory or manufacturing environment within the food industry.

You must be able to drive and own (or have permanent access to) a vehicle in order to apply, as carrying out in person shopping for test samples is a critical part of the role.

Working Hours:

Normal working days Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per week, however we may be able to consider this role on a part time basis

Location:

The role is based at our lab in Norwich.

We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.

Pay: 24,570.00 per year
