Role Overview
We are seeking a friendly, technically minded Technical Support and solar designSpecialist to assist customers with queries related to their solar systems. This role involves troubleshooting system performance, supporting monitoring apps, and providing clear, confident guidance to customers via phone, email, and digital platforms.
You will be the go-to expert helping customers understand, monitor, and optimise their solar systems.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support to customers regarding their solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, and monitoring equipment
Assist customers with setup, use, and troubleshooting of solar monitoring apps and portals
Diagnose and resolve common technical issues remotely, escalating complex cases when required
Guide customers through fault finding in a clear, professional, and customer-friendly manner
Log support cases accurately and maintain detailed records in the CRM system
Work closely with installation, engineering, and service teams to resolve ongoing issues
Educate customers on system performance, usage data, and best practices
Deliver excellent customer service while managing multiple support requests efficiently
Design domestic solar systems to ensure maximum benefit to the customer.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Strong customer service and communication skills
Excellent technical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Confidence explaining technical concepts to non-technical customers
Comfortable using mobile apps, software platforms, and CRM systems
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
Experience with solar PV systems, inverters, batteries or energy monitoring software
Desirable:
Previous experience in technical support, helpdesk, or customer service
Knowledge of renewable energy or electrical systems
Experience supporting mobile or web-based applications
