Junior Linux Support Engineer - DevOps - Remote/Poole - \xc3\x82\xc2\xa330-35K

****This will be a remote position but you must be able to visit the office in Poole for meetings****

We are seeking a talented and driven Linux Support Engineer to join a dynamic team at a leading Software company. **Responsibilities**

***Provide exceptional technical support for Linux-based product systems, diagnosing and resolving complex issues to ensure optimal performance and uptime for their customers and our internal systems.

***Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage robust DevOps pipelines, focusing on continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

***Monitor system health, performance, and security, and proactively identify areas for improvement and optimization.

***Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, highly available infrastructure solutions.

***Troubleshoot and resolve network, hardware, and software-related problems in a timely manner.

***Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Linux systems, DevOps methodologies, and cloud technologies.

You will have some of the following skills:

***Good knowledge of C and shell programming and Bash scripting.

***Experience in RPM SPEC file (SUSE/Red Hat).

***Experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Linux based environments.

***Good knowledge of debugging skills

***Scripting skills in both Linux and Windows (shell scripts, Perl, Powershell).

*** Experience Virtualisation technologies (Xen, Hyper-V, VMWare).

Desirable:

***Experience Configuration Management (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack).

***Experience of source code tools (GIT).

***Experience with Automation and Continuous Integration, and tools (Jenkins, Team City, Circle CI).

***Experience in Perl/Python.
