Due to growth, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team as an SBT/MJI Technical Trainer primarily at our Westhill, Aberdeen facility, with occasional travel to other Swagelok sites within our territory as well as customer facilities.
Responsible for delivering, developing and maintaining all aspects of training courses, associated equipment and service levels. You will establish and maintain strong client relationships through various means of communication as well as being responsible for providing a variety of training services, including course delivery and conducting technical competency assessments. This is a unique opportunity within the company as you will perform a pivotal role connecting customers with services and solutions through your training and technical expertise.
If not currently working in a training role but have the necessary technical foundations, full training to upskill will be provided to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Delivering training courses in various subjects of both technical product and applications, supporting the company values to maintain and enhance the reputation of our company in the marketplace.
Conduct technical assessments in accordance with ECITB operating procedures and guidelines.
Administration of course paperwork, carried out in accordance with company policies.
Classroom set up, management of stock and materials, maintenance of tools, equipment and facilities.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our training services through review, development and enhancement of our materials to ensure ongoing accuracy and high levels of quality for our customers.
Work in accordance with company policies, operating procedures and guidelines along with any external accrediting bodies requirements.
Work in close liaison with the training services manager and service co-ordinators to ensure the highest level of service to both our external and internal customers.
Ensure a thorough working knowledge of all the Company's products and services.
To keep knowledge up to date through corporate training and product training events utilising appropriate corporate training materials.
Acquire and develop all the necessary presentation, product and technical skills, utilising the Company's personal development programmes.
Actively contribute to any tasks or projects that are assigned to you, ensuring that you complete to a high standard in line with agreed deadlines provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.
Essential:
Occupational experience with hand torque, hydraulic torque and hydraulic tensioning.
Occupational experience with small bore tubing (SBT), including tube bending and system maintenance.
Educated to HND/HNC mechanical OR relevant occupational experience/qualifications will be considered.
Strong skills in MS office suite. (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
Good communications skills, both written and verbal with willingness to develop presentation skills.
Excellent time-management skills.
Works effectively in a team environment as well as being a self-starter able to use own initiative.
Understanding of the importance of personal development and ability to work toward achieving agreed actions.
Experience of working with technically diverse team members.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines.
