Technical Training Manager
to lead a high performing team and shape the future of technical learning across our business.
This is a strategic leadership role where you'll drive capability, competence and compliance ensuring our workforce is equipped to meet today's challenges and tomorrow's goals.
What you'll be doing:

Leading a team of Technical Training Specialists to deliver high impact, technical learning solutions
Designing and managing competence frameworks and assessment programmes to meet the technical skills requirements of our operational roles
Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to identify current and future training needs
Managing relationships with external training providers to ensure quality, consistency and value for money
Representing United Utilities at industry forums focused on technical skills and development
Driving continuous improvement through data analysis, evaluation and innovation
What we're looking for:

Experience managing L&D teams in industrial or technical environments
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
A commercial mindset and the ability to assess ROI and training impact
Familiarity with regulated industries and mandatory training frameworks (water sector experience not required)
Qualifications such as PTLLS, TAQA, NEBOSH or equivalent or relevant operational/technical experience
