The University for the Creative Arts is seeking an experience individual to join our technical team based at the Farnham campus on a Fixed term contract.
The position is for a Technical Tutor in Comic and Concept Art whose duty consists of providing technical support in a range of software and hardware geared to the provision of digital art practices and would support production workflows in 2D and 3D processes.
The successful applicant will have experience and expertise in 2D software: Adobe CC including Photoshop and Premiere Pro. Knowledge and experience of Procreate and Clip Studio would be desirable. For 3D processes you will have experience in Blender, 3DS Max, Z- brush and Substance Painter.
Your knowledge in the software will allow you to compile learning materials, deliver technical workshops and provide technical tuition as appropriate. As well as software delivery, your skills in maintaining equipment and peripherals including Cintiqs, tablets, etc will be called on to ensure learning environment is conducive for students to create amazing work.
You will contribute to the care and maintenance of the studios as well, and be responsible for the health and safety in your area of competence.
You will also have excellent communication skills, be a good team worker and be able to demonstrate an aptitude for dealing tactfully with students and staff. The ability to work under pressure is essential.
Actual salary for this part time role is 18,741 - 20,766 per annum.
