The Technical Writer is responsible for creating high-quality technical submissions and documentation to support the sales process and detailed design phases within the Emissions Services team. Reporting directly to the Technical Director, this role requires clear and concise communication of complex engineering and technical information related to engines and emissions systems. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure documentation accurately reflects technical solutions and supports successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver technical submissions, proposals, and related documents that clearly outline technical capabilities, project methodologies, and benefits for prospective clients.
Work closely with technical subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, and sales teams to gather relevant technical information and ensure accuracy and clarity.
Prepare detailed technical documentation following contract award, including engineering specifications, design reports, installation instructions, and operational procedures.
Review, proofread, and revise existing documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal and external standards.
Maintain and continuously update a central repository of technical documentation templates and reference materials.
Assist in standardising and streamlining documentation processes across the technical and sales functions.
