We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Writer to join our team based at our site in Kingswinford, West Midlands.


The purpose of this role is to create accurate and user-focused documentation that explains our products. You will need to be able to translate technical concepts into accessible content, such as manual guides and on-line support. The role will work closely with the R&D team and the Engineering team to document designed, systems, processes and products.


This role would suit someone with an engineering background who is looking to move into a technical writing position.

key responsibilities;



Research, write, edit, and maintain technical documentation Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise language Collaborate with Product Developers, Engineers and End Users Create and maintain user guides and installation manuals for End Users and Engineers, including FAQs, release notes, and training materials Ensure documentation accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guides Update documentation to reflect product changes and new features Manage documentation versioning and publishing workflows including spare parts Conduct reviews and incorporate feedback from stakeholders Manage translation of key documents into multiple languages

Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to structure information logically for different audiences Strong editing and proofreading skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to understand technical systems, software, or processes Familiarity with documentation tools Basic understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) Experience with diagrams, screenshots, or simple visuals Stakeholder management is essential as well as the ability to manage multiple projects Previous experience using AI tools is essential Engineering degree is desirable, however, experience gained working in an Engineering role would also be considered
