Job Description

Cordius are working with an agricultural supplier who currently have 32 Stores throughout Northern England, Scotland, and Wales, several of which have machinery sales and service departments and fuel distributions depots. They are currently looking for a technician to join their team. Will consider Junior to Master level and happy to consider field (van laptop phone etc) or workshop based.

Purpose
To offer complete technical support with a focus on Massey Ferguson and Krone products - leading customer support in a particular area. Working closely with the Branch Manager and existing team to ensure smooth running of the Workshop. Key in developing very strong customer networks working alongside other aftersales members and the sales team on service issues.

Accountabilities
Day to day technical support of a busy workshop, covering the following key areas;

• Lead technical support in an assigned region, successfully bridging the area between 2 established branches.
• Ownership of Customer Care process for linked customers - working closely with the wider business and ensuring customers remain engaged.
• Supporting the workshop leader with team management and job allocation
• Ensuring Dealer Standards are maintained across the department and maintaining a clean and efficient working environment.
• Maintain on-call service and offer out of hours support as required
• Maximising all opportunities and supporting Branch Manager to achieve budgets and targets.
• Working within the workshop or in the field/on farm as required
• Providing technical expertise and guidance as required across the business
• Maintaining a strong working relationship with Parts Department
• Supporting Sales department with enquiries, advise and installations

Skills & Experience

• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Written skills - proven ability to use clear, concise language specific for the purpose and audience
• Confident IT user, including a working knowledge of diagnostic software
• Flexibility with working hours during busy seasons and weekends.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders
• Ability to manage change and to adapt to unexpected demands on a day-to-day basis.
• Ability to assess priorities and manage competing deadlines both independently and as a member of a team
• Experience working independently and managing time in a commercial environment
