Job Description

We're looking for a Technician to join our Design team based in Birmingham or Manchester. You can expect a competitive salary and an outstanding package that includes a matched pension scheme up to 7.5%, 26 days' annual leave + bank holidays (with the opportunity to buy or sell holiday) together with two employee Share Scheme options (Sharesave and Share Incentive Plan).




Location

: Birmingham / Manchester- remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required


Hours

: 40 hours per week


Salary

: 22.5k -30k per annum




What will you be responsible for?





As Technician, you'll be working within the Road Lighting Design team, supporting clients and leading the development of road lighting design projects on time, within budget and to the agreed standards.



Your day to day will include:


Maintaining consistent high technical standards making sure team members are following the same methods, helping with the preparation of technical solutions to engineering problems Assisting in the efficient management of workload programming, resources and financial aspects of projects Ensuring deliverables conform to the client's requirements, recognised standards, statutory regulations and company standards



What are we looking for?





This role of Technician is great for you if:


You will have an award of or training towards HNC/HND or Degree or equivalent in appropriate discipline along with some specialist knowledge of the road lighting design discipline gained through training or qualifications and experience Clear use of relevant design software and standards and proficient in the production of engineering drawings using AutoCAD Understanding of supporting factors such as health and safety, quality management and environmental management system
