Technician-IT
to join our curriculum Information Technology Department.
You will join us on afull-time permanent basis, term-time only,and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of 30,573 - 32,229 pa inc London Weighting.
The Technician-IT
role:
To work under the supervision and guidance of the Lecturer with students with learning
difficulties and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities of our
Technician-IT:
Maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, software, and network related issues.
Prepare materials and apparatus for demonstrations and practical work including examination requirements as directed particularly in the domains of Hardware, Networking and Cybersecurity.
Set up equipment, software, and resources required for practical sessions. Assisting in the demonstration of techniques and practices to students.
Assist in setting up and troubleshooting cybersecurity simulations and labs.
Monitor, record and check the use of tools when working within any of the respective workshops
throughout the school.
Our ideal Technician-IT
should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Have suitable formal qualifications in the field of IT up to level 3
GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above) or Functional Skills English and Maths Level 2.
Have recent and relevant experience (1-2 years) of working in an IT support or technician role.
Experience with basic networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, LAN, WAN)
and troubleshooting. Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications. applications.
Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is desirable.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or equivalent is desirable.
