The Opporutnity:
You'll be joining our amazing Engineering Department as a Technician working 2pm - 10pm. Working within a fast paced environment, with a focus on continuous improvement, right in the heart beat of the business.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will bring with them Engineering Technician experience in Manufacturing with a GMP focus. They will be people oriented and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We at Expac have an integrated approach to teamworking and so the individual will be good at building positive relationships. Each day is different with a new set of challenges and therefore motivation and a positive attitude are the drivers for success.
Role Purpose:
To help ensure the smooth running of the production line machinery by setting up the line correctly during changeovers, ensure efficient running of the line, attending breakdowns and troubleshooting any issues.
Duties/Key Responsibilities
With the help of the Engineers and Hygiene Operatives, ensure that the production lines are set up for the next production run by following the Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding changeovers, hygiene and quality checks
Drive line efficiency by monitoring performance on SIC boards
Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and tools to ensure accurate and reliable measurements and performance
Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with equipment, systems and processes and propose solutions and/or improvements
Collaborate with other team members to ensure production goals are met
Ensure all areas are clean and tidy and free from any tools and parts following any works carried out
Ensure Health & Safety procedures are adhered to and appropriate records maintained
Proactively look for ways to improve the running of lines
Make note of parts used and ensure store is updated
Key Skills & Attributes:
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
A flexible attitude to all tasks, with a keenness to learn and improve in all aspects of the running of the machinery
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stake holders
Good user knowledge of hand tools
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Strong IT skills required across multiple systems and software.
