The Role:

The Motor Transport Technician position plays a paramount position in ensuring that all Assets within the remit of the department are always operationally available. This involves:

• Vehicle/Asset servicing.
• MOT preparation/inspection
• Fault Diagnosis.
• Mechanical and electrical repair.
• Non accident vehicle recovery.
• Car, LGV, HGV, Trailer and Agriculture/Plant works to ensure operational availability.
• Installation of specialist equipment i.e. Radio, Lighting and auxiliary systems
• Inspection and repair of Airport Fire service vehicles and equipment.

You:

The Motor Transport technician will need a strong personal sense of responsibility, resilience, and ethics. Knowledge of health and safety guidance and procedures is beneficial for the role and ability to manage time and workload is essential. Qualifications in Vehicle and/or plant maintenance are a must with the ability to thrive in a team setting.
