Duties/Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Technical Solutions Manager to join our team in Surrey working Monday to Friday.

Job Purpose:

  • To provide direction and leadership for all aspects of client focussed technology solutions
  • Oversees the organisation\'s client facing technology products and the associated delivery, ensuring an effective integrating to our customers strategies and initiatives. Establishes a progressive culture of technology adoption, helping the EMCOR UK and our clients move forward with advances in technology solutions.
  • Serves as a leader and innovator for the company\'s technology solutions, ensuring maximum value is created for both internal and external stakeholders. Leading the research and introduction of technology for client facing activities.
  • Acts as a key promoter of our technology solutions, fully engaged with business development and client engagement activities. Creating appropriate and best in class technology solutions aligned with the requirement of the client.
Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Create the companies client facing digital and technology strategy to improve the efficiency and efficacy of technological initiatives.
  • Provides Leadership and acts as a key advisor for EMCOR UK\'s technology capability to both internal and external parties. This includes supporting and leading work winning and external brand enhancement activities.
  • Provide support for creating bespoke customer technology solutions to deliver demonstrable value in potentially highly regulated and secure operating environments,
  • Examines a company\'s and client operations and how technology works within it
  • Communicates with other the wider leadership team and clients to make sure all stakeholders utilise technology in the best ways possible
  • To be fully engaged with our business development teams to solution, present and to respond to requirements for our work winning activities.
  • To develop the collateral to externally present, market and promote our technology focussed FM delivery.
  • To lead the promotion of our technology led FM service delivery in the external market
  • Provides a framework for the management and adoption for our technology solutions. Specifically but not limited to the smart building, condition based maintenance and workplace solutions.
  • Create and manage the technology development roadmap. Ensuring that this roadmap supports and integrates with other service lines such as energy management, operational efficiency, workplace and asset management.
  • Providing effective supply chain management for technology solutions. Researching, selecting and managing the ecosystem of supply chain partners to deliver on our technology vision.
  • Research and recommend hardware and software solutions that will help to enhance our FM offering or provide internal operational efficiencies.
  • Reviews and recommends technology related vendors that can provide value to the technology products sets offered both internally and externally.
  • Provides technology vendor management frameworks, ensuring that all related supply chain provide value for money and align their services to the broader technology offering. This includes the management of partner MSA\'s or similar contractual constructs. .
  • Assist with the data led hard service delivery via the Asset Data Manager
  • Ensuring that technology solutions follow best practice Information Security controls. Work with the Information Security function to ensure that solutions are deployed in a suitably risk managed way, in line with governance requirements where applicable (e.g. ISO27001, CE+)
Person Specification
  • At least 5 years of managing information technology solution deployments in a large, technically complex environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in defining technology strategies and delivering substantive digital transformative change
  • Strong leadership and management skills at executive level
  • Excellent Supplier management and contract management skills
  • Experienced in architecting bespoke client technical solutions
  • Strategic planning and business growth skills
  • A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant data or technology focused subject such as economics, computer science, data science, business information systems.
  • Experience of delivering technology solutions to a large, geographically diverse workforce
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
  • Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills are essential.
  • Excellent written skills are a must
  • The successful employee in this role, will be one that is recognised for the above skills and traits
Other Factors:
  • The role may require travel to and from EMCOR main offices and customer locations throughout the UK from time to time.
  • There is a requirement for the candidate to go through SC or DV clearance to be able to support some EMCOR UK clients
