As a Technology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in researching, testing, and qualifying new hardware and software products. Reporting to the Head of Digital Technology, you will be responsible for compiling detailed test reports, developing product matrices, and creating commissioning and support documents. Additionally, you will maintain direct relationships with vendors, and train internal teams on newly qualified products.

Essential:


Strong understanding of digital technologies especially in digital signage and AV.


A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a related role, such as AV support, Quality Assurance or product development.


Experience with Windows and Android operating systems.


Proficiency in Microsoft Office including O365, Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.


Good understanding of Network principles.


Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of project setup, testing, and configuration, ensuring accuracy and precision in technical implementations.


Strong problem-solving abilities and creative thinking.


Excellent teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.


Desirable:


A bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field.


Experience working with customers and sales teams is preferred.


Working under pressure, to tight deadlines, both as part of a team and under own initiative.


Relevant certifications in product management or technology solutions.


?Demonstrate ability to provide internal training sessions.

Main duties


---------------

Working with the head of Digital Technology to research, test, and qualify new hardware and software products, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.


Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures.


Analyse test results, identify and troubleshoot issues, and document findings in detailed reports.


Create and maintain product matrices, documenting product specifications, features and differences.


Develop and maintain comprehensive commissioning and support documentation for new products including "how to" guides and player build guides.


Collaborate with other internal teams (such as sales, support and digital build) to ensure they are educated on any new products added to the portfolio.


Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to the role.


Report regularly to the Head of Digital Technology on project progress and any challenges encountered. This may include presenting findings and recommendations.


Maintain direct relationships with vendors for feedback, feature requests, and other communications.


Create and update media player operating system images to ensure they are up-to-date and functioning correctly, documenting the changes as required.


Provide training to internal teams, such as digital build, sales, installation engineers, and support, on any newly qualified products.
