Key Accountabilities
The Site Manager is the single point of contact for all UK Telehouse related tasks. The Site Manager will report to the team leader of Site Management located in Germany.
The position requires a highly independent work ethic and offers a high degree of freedom to organize the workload and opportunity to acquire updated skills based on new developments in the industry
Duties & Responsibilities

  • In this position, the Site Manager UK will work with the planning and rollout teams located in Germany to coordinate and realize Implementation Projects.
  • Responsible for working with Telehouse providers and Vendors to request quotes, place orders, coordinate deliveries supervise installation and support finance and accounting for the purpose of securing installation Services, Air-conditioning, AC and DC Power, Space, Telecommunication Equipment and other parts like Cabinets, Cables, and Connectors Panels etc.
  • Responsible for supporting the International Network Management Center (INMC) and other NOCs onsite with troubleshooting on Voice, IP, and Transport Equipment.
  • You are the escalation point for the NOCs and is responsible for managing maintenance providers and keeping access lists up to date.
  • Additionally, smaller installation, upgrades and changes will be performed by the Site Manager. These tasks are often performed outside of business hours.
Skills & Qualifications required
  • Recognized training in the field of electrical engineering, telecommunications, IT, or a degree with comparable content and several years of experience
  • Several years of hands-on field experience with testing as well as troubleshooting at the physical layer and basic knowledge of OTDR and OSA.
  • Knowledge of International Carrier/Wholesale business
  • Experience with the concept of Carrier Hotels, Data Center, Telehouse, Interconnections, NNIs, etc.
  • Hands on skills with installation and cabling of equipment like Routers and WDM Nodes as well as basic configuration skills via CLI and GUI.
  • Talent for improvisation and proactive engagement
  • Excellent English writing and speaking skills. Long ability to communicate with all levels of professionals on a global team
  • Flexibility to work outside of business hours and occasionally on weekends is essential.
  • Essential to be able to work Night Shift as this is required around customer migrations - predicted on average once a month or as business need dictate.
Ideal location - inside the M25 due to Customer Site visits and technical tasks
