Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler to join our team. The successful candidate will operate telehandlers to move, lift, and transport materials on construction sites or within warehouses. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery and safety protocols, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Operate telehandlers to lift, move, and place materials as required on site. Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure functionality and safety. Transport materials to designated areas in a timely manner while adhering to safety regulations. Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate material handling needs. Maintain the telehandler in good working condition by performing routine maintenance and reporting any mechanical issues. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while operating machinery. Assist in loading and unloading materials from lorries as necessary.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence is essential for operating telehandlers on public roads. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment. Experience operating excavators is a significant advantage. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and supervisors effectively. A commitment to adhering to safety standards and protocols at all times.

Pay: 22.99-23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
