The Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Telephone Business Development Manager to join our growing team in Glasgow, United Kingdom. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving business growth through proactive telephone-based sales and client relationship management.
Develop and implement effective telephone-based sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling and lead generation
Nurture and expand relationships with existing clients to maximise revenue potential
Conduct thorough needs analyses to understand client requirements and propose tailored solutions
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of products or services
Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system
Forecast sales pipeline and provide regular reports on performance metrics
Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes
The Person

Proven track record of success in telephone sales or business development roles
Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets consistently
Proficiency in using CRM software and sales forecasting tools
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise effectively
Expertise in cold calling and lead generation techniques
Experience in managing and nurturing client relationships
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
Relevant sales or business development certifications (preferred)
In-depth knowledge of industry trends and B2B sales processes
Resilient and self-motivated with a results-oriented approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
