Telephone Sales - Clarkes of Walsham

Job Type:

Full-time, Permanent

40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm; Saturdays 8:00 am - 12:30 pm on a rota

Role Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Telephone Salesperson to join our busy inbound sales team. You will primarily be selling our extensive range of Building, Timber, Landscaping and Agricultural products, handling enquiries from both account and retail customers. This role focuses on inbound sales, so cold calling is not required.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer customer enquiries via telephone, email, and in person. Produce accurate quotations and orders based on customer requirements. Maintain and develop existing customer relationships while identifying new sales opportunities. Achieve and exceed sales targets. Maximise customer interactions by upselling and cross-selling relevant products, offering expert product advice. Continuously develop and update your product knowledge. Provide professional, courteous, and high-quality customer service at all times. Working alongside our Procurement Team.

Skills and Attributes:

Confident communicator with previous sales experience. Previous sales experience, ideally within a Builders Merchant or construction-related industry would be extremely beneficial. Strong sales focus with the desire to exceed targets. Excellent attention to detail. High standard of customer care and service. Strong IT skills. Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. Team player with a positive attitude.
