to lead a small but high-impact telesales team handling inbound pricing enquiries and outbound sales activity.
This is a
hands-on leadership role
. You will sell alongside the team while being fully accountable for performance, compliance, administration, and people management.
You will be responsible for delivering a
minimum team revenue target
, ensuring sales processes are followed accurately, and developing new revenue streams through structured outbound activity.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue
Lead the team to achieve
weekly / monthly revenue targets.
Manage and fairly distribute inbound pricing enquiries.
Actively sell alongside the team and coach performance in real time.
Sales Process & Quality
Ensure all quotes are:
Checked for pricing accuracy
Followed up by telephone
Logged correctly with chase activity
Closed with accurate delivery details
Ensure non-converted quotes have clear reasons recorded.
Team Leadership
Conduct
weekly 20-30 minute 1:1 meetings
with each team member.
Document performance, behaviours, targets, and agreed actions.
Address attendance, timekeeping, mobile phone use, and underperformance.
Coach and develop team members to improve conversion and SLA performance.
Compliance & Fraud Prevention
Personally manage
all new account setups
.
Issue new account forms via approved links only.
Scrutinise initial purchase orders prior to Finance submission.
Maintain zero tolerance for compliance breaches.
Outbound Sales Development
Drive outbound activity.
Create and deliver outbound plans including:
Bulk email campaigns
LinkedIn outreach
Market mapping and telephone prospecting
Maintain a clear pipeline of opportunities and report on progress.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
Produce weekly performance and activity reports.
Act as the first point of escalation for logistics and admin issues.
Work closely with Finance and Logistics to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
What We're Looking For
Essential
Proven telesales or inside sales experience
Previous experience leading or supervising a sales team
Strong process discipline and attention to detail
Confident using CRM systems and sales reporting tools
Comfortable holding others accountable and documenting performance
Desirable
B2B sales experience
Experience selling technical or capital equipment
Knowledge of fraud prevention or compliance-based sales environments
