The Role

Due to extra workload, we have a temporary opportunity to join our Fortem team as a Carpenter Multi Trade at Amplius Housing in our Social Housing Responsive Repairs & Maintenance team This will be for approx 3 months, Core hours Mon- Fri 8.00am- 4.30pm includes a Company Van, Fuel card and Power Tools ( for work purposes only) The Carpenter Multi trade will be responsible for most aspects of property maintenance and repairs to Social Housing Properties which stretch from Peterborough, Stamford, Northamptonshire and across to Huntingdon and St Neots (Therefore travel is essential) As Carpenter Multi you will be ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision; taking ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs, operating within the company Health and Safety guidelines, and remaining within budget and time parameters, whilst being Courteous and professional around the tenants

The Customer

Fortem's successful contract with Amplius supports nearly 8,000 houses, and we're expecting that to increase significantly in 2025. Our contract includes Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Complex Works and FRA workstreams with plans to expand into Planned Works and Preventative Maintenance as well

Duties and Responsibilities

The Carpenter Multi responsibilities will include: o Carry out Carpentry repairs and maintenance tasks on Social Housing properties, ensuring all work meets high-quality standards. + using Basic Plumbing and other Multi trade skills required such as Patch plastering, Tiling and Windows. o Take ownership of assigned work, aiming to resolve issues on the first visit to minimise repeat visits and disruptions. o Complete all tasks within allocated budgets and timelines to maintain operational efficiency. o Operate in accordance with company Health and Safety policies to ensure a safe working environment. o Keep up to date with the latest technical advancements and legal requirements relevant to your areas of expertise. o Execute duties with minimal supervision whilst maintaining professionalism and a strong commitment to quality.

What you will need

Essential criteria: NVQ or equivalent in Carpentry/ OR Qualified by experience will be also be considered + Basic Plumbing skills and other Multi trade skills such as Tiling, Patch plastering or flooring etc Full UK Driving licence (max 5 points) No Driving bans in last 5 years Desirable: Social Housing experience
