The Role
We are looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to manage and grow our temporary labour desk, covering drivers, plant operatives, and groundworkers. This is a non-sales, fixed salary role focused on effective coordination, quality, and service delivery; working Monday to Friday 42.5 hours a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Source, allocate and manage plant operatives across live sites
Match the right people to the right jobs based on skills and certifications
Check and track CPCS/NPORS tickets, flagging expiries and gaps
Maintain a live and well-organised database of operatives
Respond to last-minute site requirements quickly and effectively
Liaise with site managers to gather feedback and track performance
Support onboarding and right to work checks
Work with the payroll provider to ensure weekly paid operatives are processed correctly
Provide plant and labour rate information to support tendering
Who you are
You're a practical problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment. With a background in recruitment or resource coordination, you know how to find the right people and keep things moving. You understand the operational requirements and take pride in delivering reliable, compliant workers at short notice. You also enjoy building strong relationships with both workers and site teams. Calm under pressure and focused on service, you take pride in getting the job done - quickly and efficiently.
Key Skills:
2+ years' experience in resource coordination and recruitment
Knowledge of plant and construction advantageous
Excellent organisation and communication skills
Confidence managing last-minute needs and multiple stakeholders
Good administrative and MS Office skills
