Key Responsibilities: School Head Chef Temporary Assignment

Manage all aspects of the school kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and food quality at all times Oversee menu planning and development in accordance with nutritional guidelines and diverse dietary requirements Supervise, train, and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment Order and manage ingredients and supplies within budget Maintain excellent communication with school staff and catering management Deliver a varied, engaging, and nutritious food offering for students and staff Uphold all food safety, health, and allergen policies, ensuring compliance and record-keeping

Ideal Candidate Profile: School Catering Head Chef

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef, ideally within education, healthcare, contract catering, high-volume, or similar environments In-depth knowledge of food safety and allergen management (Level 2 Food Hygiene minimum; Level 3 preferred) Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills Passionate about delivering balanced meals to inspire healthy eating habits in young people Flexible, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced setting Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required - assistance available for the right person
