We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Payroll Officer to join our human resources team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Duties
Process employee payroll using recognised accounting software Xero systems.
Ensure timely and accurate calculation of wages, deductions, bonuses, and other compensation components.
Maintain up-to-date employee records related to payroll, benefits, and tax information.
Manage data entry tasks related to payroll processing with high accuracy.
Oversee accounts payable functions related to employee payments and vendor invoices.
Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Assist with year-end reporting and statutory compliance documentation.
Collaborate with human resources to update employee information and manage benefits administration.
Analyse payroll data for trends or irregularities, providing insights for management decision-making.
Requirements
Proven experience with payroll processing using systems such as Workday, QuickBooks, HRIS, or PeopleSoft.
Strong knowledge of accounting software and data entry procedures.
Familiarity with accounts payable processes and financial reconciliation.
Excellent analysis skills to interpret payroll data accurately.
Prior experience in human resources or payroll administration is desirable.
Organised with exceptional attention to detail to ensure error-free processing.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
