We are now looking for a

Finance & Payroll Officer

to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a key role within the company, ensuring our financial processes run smoothly and providing the Managing Director with accurate information to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities



Invoicing & Payments



Process and send weekly invoices to customers. Track incoming payments and professionally chase any outstanding invoices. Record all financial transactions accurately and maintain up-to-date bookkeeping records.

Payroll Management



Verify weekly payroll data against care delivery records to ensure accuracy. Monitor staff annual leave entitlements. Submit payroll data to our payroll provider and, once approved, schedule payments to staff via online banking. Transfer PAYE, NI, and pension contributions to the appropriate accounts.

Business Banking & Bookkeeping



Manage day-to-day business banking, including scheduling payments and transferring funds between accounts. Reconcile all bank transactions and maintain accurate records in

Xero

. Work closely with the Managing Director to ensure cash flow is effectively managed and financial data is current.

Financial Forecasting & Reporting



Create and maintain a detailed cash flow forecast. Provide the Managing Director with regular financial insights and projections. Advise on affordability and sustainability of proposed business purchases or investments.

General Financial Administration



Support with other finance-related tasks as required.

About You



Experience in finance, accounts, or payroll administration (care sector experience is an advantage but not essential). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Confident using accounting software --

experience with Xero

is desirable. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Discreet, trustworthy, and confident handling confidential financial data.

Employment type:

Employed, part-time position

Hours:

20 hours per week

Working pattern:

Required in office

Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 9:00am - 2:00pm

Remaining hours can be worked flexibly by agreement

Salary:

14,500 - 17,500 per year

Location:

Office-based in Stratford-upon-Avon (hybrid working considered after training)
