About POULET
Located in the heart of SE1 on Maltby Street, POULET is a chic rotisserie restaurant and vibrant bar set within a stunning railway arch spanning over 3,000 sq ft. Our unique venue runs from Maltby St to Druid St, creating a captivating atmosphere with ambient lighting, great music, and cosy furniture.
We offer a delightful range of drinks and food, comfortably accommodating up to 90 guests. POULET is renowned for hosting exceptional events including burlesque shows, drag performances, live music, weddings, corporate and private parties.
The Role
We're seeking an experienced, independent chef to provide cover for the month of August. This is a solo kitchen position requiring someone who can confidently handle all aspects of kitchen operations single-handedly.

Days Off:
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
Wednesday & Thursday:
3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Friday & Saturday:
10:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation:
Preparing meat, condiments, and sides to our high standards
Service Management:
Handling entire service independently
Kitchen Operations:
Placing orders, accepting deliveries, and managing stock
Hygiene & Cleanliness:
Maintaining impeccable kitchen cleanliness and organisation
Quality Control:
Ensuring consistent food quality and presentation
Health & Safety:
Upholding all food safety and hygiene standards (maintain our 5 stars hygiene rating)
Essential Requirements
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
(REQUIRED)
Proven experience working independently in a kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Physical stamina for long shifts and kitchen demands
Preferred Qualifications
First Aid certification
Fire Marshal training
Experience with rotisserie cooking

Pay: 15.00 per hour
