Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen for somebody to join our Warehouse Team, initially for 3 months but with a view to an extended or permanent contract for the right candidate.

If you hold a counterbalance forklift truck licence and have experience in a busy warehouse environment, then this opportunity could be for you.

In addition to the basic wage, you will receive 100 per week Attendance / Forklift allowance and a monthly bonus of 350.

Duties

Safely drive and operate a counterbalance forklift truck to load and offload collection and delivery vehicles. Load double-deck trailers with consideration for the placement of pallets, taking account of size and weight. Conduct pre-use inspections of forklift trucks to ensure they are in good working order, and report any defects. Scan barcodes of inbound and outbound freight. Adhere to all safe working procedures within the site (training given) Communicate effectively with drivers and other staff to resolve any queries and assist with the smooth operation. Assist with general house-keeping ensuring that the warehouse and yard are kept clean and free from rubbish.

Qualifications

Valid counterbalance forklift truck licence. Previous experience in a busy warehouse environment is beneficial. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members. Ability to work as part of a team and manage time efficiently while adhering to safe working practices.
