British Wool is a farmer run organisation which was established in 1950 to operate a central marketing system for fleece wool. We collect the most complex wool clip in the world from over 35,000 sheep farmers throughout the UK and prepare it for sale at electronic auction.

At British Wool Evanton we are looking to recruit a Temporary FLT / Warehouse Operative; This role is to undertake warehouse tasks/processes, and implementing the movement of wool using a counter balance fork lift truck . The successful applicant will be working within a fast-paced warehouse environment therefore the duties of the role can be physically arduous.

Responsibilities:

Unloading of wool sheets from HGV'S,

Weighing of sheets/skeps using had held scanner to record data upon receipt into the warehouse.

Transferring wool to various processes within the warehouse via skeps.

Work closely with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operation.

Assist in maintaining a clean and organised warehouse.

Skills, Abilities & Experience:

Current counterbalance forklift truck licence (preferred)

Have previous warehouse working experience, 6 months minimum (essential)

Full clean driving licence (essential)

The ability to work independently and be self-motivated is necessary

An effective team worker

A good level of numeracy and literacy

Demonstrate a good work ethic, be conscientious of quality of work output

Excellent timekeeping and attendance

Working Hours:

Zero Hour Contract - 39 hours per week, working hours are between 8.00am to 16.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 15.30pm Friday.
