Job Description
British Wool is a farmer run organisation which was established in 1950 to operate a central marketing system for fleece wool. We collect the most complex wool clip in the world from over 35,000 sheep farmers throughout the UK and prepare it for sale at electronic auction.
At British Wool Perthshire we are looking to recruit a Temporary FLT / Warehouse Operative; This role is to undertake warehouse tasks/processes, and implementing the movement of wool using a counter balance fork lift truck . The successful applicant will be working within a fast-paced warehouse environment therefore the duties of the role can be physically arduous.
Key Responsibilities:
Unloading deliveries safely and efficiently using a forklift truck. Accurately recording incoming and outgoing goods using weigh scales and company systems. Managing warehouse space and own workload to ensure smooth daily operations.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
Assisting with general warehouse duties as required.Skills & Experience Required:
Valid forklift truck licence (counterbalance or reach preferred). Previous experience in a warehouse environment is desirable. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording goods. Good time management and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Location - Methven, Perthshire
Hours - 8AM - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday. 8am - 3:30PM Fridays
Salary negotiable depending on experience
Immediate start and full training provided
