We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef To head up the kitchen of our Pop up in Winter Wonderland this year. The menu is small (4 items) but the volume will be big. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with a focus on quality, creativity, and food safety. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards. You will manage a team of chefs for 2 months.
Duties
Supervise and manage kitchen staff.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and presentation standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
Train new staff members in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Handle any customer feedback or complaints regarding food quality or service.
Experience
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive work culture.
In-depth understanding of food safety standards and best practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
