Temporary Materials Planner - Supply Chain / Procurement Assistant
Location: Greenford
Hourly Rate: 15.18 per hour
Duration: 2 months (with potential to extend)
Are you a proactive and organised individual with experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination? Are you available immediately and happy to commit to a busy short-term role?
We are recruiting for a Temporary Materials Planner to support a well-established client in Greenford during a peak period. You'll be working closely with the Head Buyer and wider supply team to ensure that materials are ordered, received, and tracked on time. This is a fast-paced role that needs someone who can hit the ground running.
What You'll Be Doing:

• Raising purchase orders and processing requisitions
• Tracking and expediting orders to ensure timely delivery
• Liaising with suppliers to negotiate best prices and resolve issues
• Managing invoice queries, overcharges, and delivery discrepancies
• Supporting engineering and operational teams with procurement queries
• Preparing purchasing and stock data as required
• Contributing to wider procurement and contract improvement projects

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, materials planning, or supply chain
• Solid Excel and MS Office skills
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
• Comfortable working under pressure and juggling multiple tasks
• Proactive team player with a positive, problem-solving attitude
