The Role

We have a new 3 month Temporary opportunity to join our Fortem team at Orbit Housing as a Multi Skilled Trade in our Voids team. You will be either a Carpenter or Plumber Multi Trade joining us for 3 months ( with a strong possibility of a permanent role becoming available afterwards) You will be responsible for most aspects of refit and repairs to our Void Social Housing Properties which uses core carpentry and Plumbing skills You will be covering a patch based in Stratford Upon Avon and the surrounding areas so travel is essential. Core Hours are Monday-Friday 8.00am-4.30pm As a Multi Trade you will be ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision. The Multi Trade takes ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs, operating within the company Health and Safety guidelines, and remaining within budget and time parameters, whilst being Courteous and professional around the tenants You must be able to use your own Van for the temporary position ( If temp-perm *we provide company vans to our permanent members of staff)

The Project

Fortem's contract with Orbit Housing covers over 17,000 properties across Stratford-upon-Avon, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Nuneaton, Northampton, Milton Keynes and Bedford. We have multiple workstreams, including Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Capital Works and Re-Roofing. Duties and Responsibilities

o Completing Carpentry / plumbing repairs work for all void properties as per the specification, working in a timely and productive manner with specific turnaround deadlines. o Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required o Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects. o Recording and submitting accurate data using relevant business systems electronic devices o Affording excellent customer service to client representatives o Arranging purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner o Comply with safeguarding policy and H&S standards at all times o Operating within the company's occupational road risk policies and procedures o Using a PDA smart phone to correspond daily with colleagues to update progress and completion information for your allocated work

What you will need

Essential criteria: NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent / OR Qualified by experience will be considered Full UK driving license (Max 5 points) No Driving Bans in the past 5 years Must be able to pass basic DBS check Must have own Van and hand tools ( We provide Power tools) Desirable: Social Housing experience
