Job Description
British Wool is a farmer run organisation which was established in 1950 to operate a central marketing system for fleece wool. We collect the most complex wool clip in the world from over 35,000 sheep farmers throughout the UK and prepare it for sale at electronic auction.
At British Wool Newtown we are looking to recruit Temporary Warehouse Operatives; the role is to provide assistance to the warehouse processes during our peak season. The successful applicants will be working within a fast-paced warehouse environment therefore the duties of the role can be physically arduous.
Responsibilities:
Unloading of wool sheets from HGV'S
Weighing of sheets/skeps using had held scanner to record data upon receipt into the warehouse
Prepare wool sheets to be transported to grading points
Transferring wool to various processes within the warehouse via skeps
IDEALLY you will:
Be self-motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic team player
Excellent timekeeping and attendance
Be able to implement instruction/training provided
Duration of Work: 3 to 4 months, commencing June 2025
Working Hours:
