WGM Engineering have an excellent opportunity for a Temporary Works Manager to join our business on a full-time permanent basis, the role will be based in our Glasgow offices on a hybrid working basis. The overall purpose of this role is to coordinate with all parties involved with the design and construction of our Temporary Works. Ensure that temporary works procedures are being adhered to from design through construction to on-site completion and sign off. To support and advise on temporary works issues/procedures and strive for ways of continuous improvement.

Duties & Responsibilities:



Manage and help coordinate Temporary Works activities/procedures for all projects. Set up and chair Temporary Works pre-start and progress meetings. Ensure that Temporary Works have been identified and a TW register is in place for each project. Ensure that design briefs are being prepared that are adequate and in accordance with the task being undertaken on site. Provide expert technical support in TW design and management including overseeing/reviewing the actual construction of Temporary Works and managing on site when required. Ensure all WGM TWC's and TWS's receive support in the management of Temporary Works for each of their projects. Conduct regular site audits and inspections on Temporary Works and compile reports on the findings. Providing technical support when tendering for contracts. Identify valued engineering solutions. Create and deliver Temporary Works workshops/forums to assist with the development of the team. Develop and maintain relationships with WGM design team, build team, on site team and relevant technical consultants and suppliers. Liaising with our Sub-Contractors to ensure Temporary Works criteria are met and they understand their roles and responsibilities in line with the TW procedures and offer support when required.
To be considered for this position you will have at least 2-3 years previous experience in a similar level role, Previous experience in the design and checking on some of the following - formwork, falsework, scaffolding, site set ups, excavations, over pumping systems, temporary generator set up etc are essential for the position. The ideal candidate will also have excellent knowledge of the BS 5795 regulations/ codes of practice, CDM regulations, Health and Safety regulations.

Pay: 55,000.00-60,000.00 per year
