Job Introduction
The ProjectWide Temporary Works Manager must have a proven track record as a Temporary Works Manager (TWM) or Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC), or Engineering Manager on civil engineering projects with a strong focus on Temporary Works. Key attributes include extensive knowledge and experience in Temporary Works, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, effective team leadership, and clear, effective communication.
You will support a team of TWMs, TWCs, Temporary Works Supervisors (TWSs), and source managers across the different delivery units of the project. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that in the DUs all Temporary Works are designed, constructed, implemented, and dismantled safely and in full compliance with Project Procedures.
A thorough working understanding of BS 5975 principles is required, along with familiarity with PAS 8811 and PAS 8812 standards.
You will report directly to the Head of Temporary Works within the Enabling Functions Team under Engineering Services and the Technical Directorate.
