Temporary Works Manager - Highways Major Project
We're looking for a Temporary Works Manager to join our highly successful Highways team in Gloucester, delivering a major highways project valued at approximately 500m.

Location: Gloucester - site-based, 5 days per week
Hours: Permanent, Full-time 45 hours per week
Salary: 65,000 - 75,000 per year + 6,100 annual car allowance + private healthcare + benefits

What will you be responsible for?
As a Temporary Works Manager, you will ensure all temporary works (TW) are properly planned, designed, reviewed, implemented, and maintained in line with project requirements, safety standards, and TW procedures. Acting as the central coordinator between designers, contractors, and site teams, you'll ensure compliance with all relevant regulations while safeguarding workers and the public throughout the construction process.
Your day to day will include:

• Implementing safe systems of work for site activities, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and welfare
• Leading the temporary works process across the project lifecycle
• Maintaining the Temporary Works Register and ensuring all designs are approved before implementation
• Liaising with Temporary Works Designers (TWDs) and Temporary Works Coordinators (TWCs) to resolve technical issues
• Supporting incident investigations related to temporary works and implementing corrective actions

What are we looking for?
This role of Temporary Works Manager is great if have:

• Civil Engineering degree or similar
• In-depth knowledge of BS5975 and CDM regulations
• CITB Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) certification
• Basic Scaffolding Inspection (CISRS)
• Strong understanding of structural and geotechnical principles
• CSCS card holder
• Appointed Person CPCS
