Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Works Manager to oversee our operations and ensure the efficient management of resources within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with a focus on supervising teams and optimising production processes. This role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of quality and safety while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties

Manage daily operations to ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality standards. Supervise and lead a team of production staff, providing guidance and support to enhance performance. Implement and monitor health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Coordinate with various departments to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency. Conduct regular performance reviews, offering constructive feedback and identifying training needs for team members. Develop and maintain effective communication channels within the team and across departments. Analyse production data to identify trends, address issues, and propose solutions for improvement.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing or production environment. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team. Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail. Proficient in managing resources effectively to achieve operational goals. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation. Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to the industry is advantageous. . Must have SMSTS/SSSTS
