Massey Property Services are looking for someone to join our team. Not just any team.....

A team that actually enjoys what we do, we work really hard together but we also have a lot of fun and enjoy our days. We have an obvious interest in what we deliver and a clear passion for what we do.

So what do we do ? and what do we need you to do ? ..... We manage a decent size portfolio of properties, this involves a lot of interaction with Tenants, Landlords, Contractors and each other ! We have to communicate clearly within our team and streamline processes to keep them as smooth as possible. Sometimes these discussions get heated, because there is always a lot going on, but then we put the kettle on, buy cakes and everything is good again.

What do our Landlords want from us ? They want a clear concise management service with a personal touch. They want to know that when they call, we all know who they are, not "computer says no" scenarios, or "another department deals with that " We leave that to the corporate companies....

We don't expect you to remember how to do everything, we have check lists for most tasks, we can train most things, but some experience in the residential lettings industry is essential . A pick up and deal immediately approach is needed, not a - I'll deal with that later approach.

This will involve taking the pressure off us so that we can drive the business forward. We are looking for someone who can join us in our Letting Agency journey at an exciting time when new training regimes and ideas are streamlining this very different Letting Agency.

In return, you will receive excellent training in an industry that takes a bit to handle. We can teach you how to do that, or develop you further if you have some experience, we can assure you of interesting days with zero clockwatching. We will send you on interesting courses, one's you will return to the office chattering about, not boring ones.

More about what we need from you. Below is an idea of what your days will be like, not a job description, that comes later.

Your day will look something like this

- Chatting, quite a lot, mainly answering phones and never knowing what jobs that call may bring.

- Dealing with that call accordingly

- Keeping management systems up to date

- Arranging tenancy agreements and relevant pre-tenancy documentation

- Tenancy Extensions

- Carry out tenant referencing

- Registering tenant security deposits

- Arranging inventories

- Arranging Energy Performance Certificates

- Arranging Gas Safety Certificates

- Arranging contractor visits

- Logging keys

- Booking Management Inspections

- Arranging check outs

- Returning tenant deposits.

- Ensuring property portals are up to date and correct

- Dealing with property enquiries

- Updating our social media pages

- Booking viewings

- Carrying out some viewings

- Diary management

Being able to deal with all the things above ( and often a few of them at the same time ) requires a high level of office awareness and knowing what is going on around you. It means you need to be able to think quickly and prioritise, it means you need to think ahead and foresee any consequences if something is missed. It also means you need to have high levels of communication skills !

Salary is really dependant on level of experience. Our aim is to recruit a really good conscientious Tenancy / Property Manager who can hit the ground running and just fit into our team.

Pay: 25,000.00-26,500.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
