About the Role:
As a
Teacher
at Sheen Montessori Nursery, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a high-quality, child-centered education. You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering a Montessori-based curriculum that supports the holistic development of each child. We are looking for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, values the Montessori approach, and is committed to creating an inspiring, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all children.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery:
Plan, prepare, and deliver Montessori-based lessons and activities that cater to the individual needs and interests of children aged 2-4 years.
Child Development:
Observe, assess, and document the progress and development of children, ensuring their needs are met and supported in all areas of learning.
Classroom Management:
Create and maintain a well-organized, calm, and stimulating environment that fosters independence, respect, and a love of learning.
Parental Communication:
Build positive relationships with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress and offering support when needed.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the classroom and to provide a supportive, collaborative environment.
Safeguarding:
Ensure that all children are safe and that safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a qualified
Montessori Teacher
with a passion for early childhood education. The ideal candidate will have:
Montessori Qualification (preferable):
Ideally, the candidate will have a Montessori teaching qualification, however, we will also consider applicants with an NVQ/CACHE Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare, QTS or equivalent.
Experience:
Previous experience working in a Montessori environment or a similar early years setting.
Passion for Teaching:
A deep understanding of the Montessori method and a genuine passion for working with children aged 2-4 years.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with both children and adults.
Commitment to Development:
A proactive attitude toward professional growth and a willingness to continue learning.
