Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Test Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and quality assurance, with experience in various testing methodologies and tools. As a Test Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through rigorous testing processes, including functional, performance, and system testing. You will work closely with development teams to identify issues and ensure that software meets business requirements.

Duties

Develop and execute comprehensive test cases for various software applications. Conduct functional testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate software functionality. Implement test automation using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, and JUnit. Perform root cause analysis to identify defects and troubleshoot issues effectively. Collaborate with developers in a DevOps environment to integrate continuous integration practices using Jenkins and GitLab. Participate in the software development life cycle (SDLC) to ensure quality assurance at every stage. Conduct performance testing using LoadRunner and other performance testing tools. Manage release processes and ensure that all software releases meet quality standards. Maintain documentation of test results, defects, and overall quality metrics. Engage in requirements gathering sessions to understand business needs and translate them into testable scenarios.

Requirements

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools including Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, and Cucumber. Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins and version control systems such as GitHub or SVN. Strong understanding of APIs, web services (REST/SOAP), and service-oriented architecture. Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server for data validation purposes. Experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner or similar. Solid understanding of software troubleshooting techniques and debugging skills. Familiarity with Agile methodologies as well as Waterfall development processes. Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality deliverables. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
